Question by john: What are the signs of diabetes? And is it possible that i could have it?
Just like the headline, what are the signs of diabetes? I’ve gone around looking up on the internet and some medical books and found that the symptoms are, increased hunger, thirst, fatigue, increase in urination both volume and frequency. But what else are there?
And so far i’ve noticed that i’ve been experiencing both increased thirst and urination, but not much of hunger out of all those. Is there a possible chance that i could have it?

Sounds like you’ve done your homework and those are all the symptoms, I’m aware of. I would go to the DR! The only other one I can think of is blurred vision, low and high blood sugar. You can buy a blood sugar test and test your sugar. They cost between $ 30-$ 100 and up. I got mine for about $ 50. I found out I have hypoglycemia which is basically diabetes but the opposite.. If you do have diabetes, you need to know so you can keep yourself healthy and stay on top of it. Go to the DR!

My brother found out he had it when having dizzy spells a lot. Check out this website for more symptoms. If you know a relative or friend with diabetes, maybe they could check your blood for you.

If you are concerned i would really go to your doctor and ask him/her to take some tests to see if you have it
The best thing you can do would be going to your local doctor and getting a diagnosis.. Try to limit the amount of sugars you eat. Diabetes is caused by to many sugars. U should also drink plenty of water. Water is the defense against diabetes remember that. Also excersise alot. I personally dont think u have diabetes..Unless ur overweight, or have a history of family with diabetes or never excersise but you should be fine..:) I piss alot too lol. u might just be drinking too much liquids.
I am a diabetic and when i was diagnosed i was experiencing increased thirst/urination alot. Howver i also didnt experience increased hunger… if anything i had less of an appetite. another symptom i noticed was that i was tired more often throughout the day. Increased drowziness would one call it?? so its possible you may have it. I suggest seeing your doctor so they can perform tests to see for sure.
It is possible, but your symptoms could also mean a kidney or bladder infection as well.
By the time you experience any diabetic symptoms, you would have had the disease from 7 to 10 years without even knowing it.
That is an average, but you could have it (diabetes).
The only way to know for sure is to go to your doctor and have some blood work done.
Don’t get yourself all worried about it right now. Stress can raise your blood sugars too.
Find out the facts, then decide oj what to do.
what you need to do is have your sugar count check..
better to be safe then sorry..
the sooner you find out the better your off..
trust me…
because it does sound like you have done your homework..
the next step is seeing your doctor.
for a complete check up …
two choices:
You need an A1c test– this tests your average blood sugar for the last 2-3 months- it should be below 5 (lower below this, the better)- if it is 6 or above, you are a diabetic.
You can buy a test (A1c test) in Wal-Mart for $ 9-10 and follow the simple instructions
OR go to your Dr,he/she will do the test also (for alot more $ $ -unless you have good insurance)
Simple 1 time blood sugar tests is not a clear indication– but anything and anytime you are over 200 on those tests..it is likely you are– remember diabeties is very treatable and many have said it is a blessing in disguise as you take better care of yourself following Dx with it.
Relax– and test!!– not treating is the only thing that can hurt you.
Of course, there’s a possible chance that you could be diabetic, but, would you really want to rely on an answer from anyone other than a doctor?
BTW, increased water intake will cause increased urination.
Go get tested.
You can be that you have diabetes and with early signs of diabetes can you meet here.
