Q&A: Could I have diabetes? Please help me?

Question by Unknown: Could I have diabetes? Please help me?
I have been needing to pee A LOT during the day lately. I mean about 10+ times but it’s not a lot of urine usually a small-ish amount. So I googled it and found a page “signs of diabetes”. After reading the symptoms I realized I had most of the signs including excessive urinating, unquenchable thirst, and tingling in feet/hands.
Maybe I’m just being paranoid because I do drink a lot of water and I also smoke which could be causing the tingling. I am overweight but not obese female, and I’m 18 years old. Is it common for people to get diabetes this late in my teens?
I also find that sores and bruises take a while to heal, and I feel hungry a lot which could explain my weight gain.

Well, I’m 14, I’ve had it for 12 years. Peeing, is very common when you’re a diabetic, however, when I had diabetes, I was drinking a lot of ginger ale, (theres a video of me and every hour i used to pee, like the colour of water.

When we went to the Doctor, he checked my Blood sugar, and It was mad high. If you have friend who has a sugar tester, ask if you can borrow it.

Since you’re not sure if you have diabetes, contact a doctor, if it’s over 14 mm/ol

Why do people ask questions about things on here that they could just look up themselves?

Question by dog8it: Why do people ask questions about things on here that they could just look up themselves?
I don’t mean trying to find out the opinions or experiences of other people, but stuff like for example,”What are the symptoms of diabetes?” They can just look it up themselves and get a lot more information!
Don’t say “because they are lazy”..it takes more effort to post a question here than it does to google a word!
Bewitched..you’re in sad shape if you believe some of the people on here more than books!! Also, I did say I wasn’t talking about trying to find out about the experiences of other people..that makes sense.

I’ve asked myself that a million times….but if you give that response you get reported for not answering the question.

I think they’re either lazy or they just have nothing else to do.

What are the signs of diabetes? And is it possible that i could have it?

Question by john: What are the signs of diabetes? And is it possible that i could have it?
Just like the headline, what are the signs of diabetes? I’ve gone around looking up on the internet and some medical books and found that the symptoms are, increased hunger, thirst, fatigue, increase in urination both volume and frequency. But what else are there?

And so far i’ve noticed that i’ve been experiencing both increased thirst and urination, but not much of hunger out of all those. Is there a possible chance that i could have it?

Sounds like you’ve done your homework and those are all the symptoms, I’m aware of. I would go to the DR! The only other one I can think of is blurred vision, low and high blood sugar. You can buy a blood sugar test and test your sugar. They cost between $ 30-$ 100 and up. I got mine for about $ 50. I found out I have hypoglycemia which is basically diabetes but the opposite.. If you do have diabetes, you need to know so you can keep yourself healthy and stay on top of it. Go to the DR!
