Question by American Hero: Should Medicare pay for Women’s BIRTH CONTROL??????
I could not BELIEVE this story when I read it:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070323/ap_on_he_me/colleges_contraceptives
Apparently Medicare is raising premiums on Birth control in colleges. The question I have to ask is:
WHY IS MEDICARE PAYING FOR BIRTH CONTROL?????
Has our society degraded so far that sex is now mandatory for all college students? “Let’s see, I need my antibiotics, my Diabetes medicine, and…Oh Yeah! My birth control!!!”
Is this the worst possible sign of the times, or what?
–Of course, many Liberals are going to point out the fact that I am also pro-life. They are going to say “Well, you don’t want them to get cheap birth control, and you don’t want them to get abortions, so what are they supposed to do with their babies? You are FORCING them to be pregnant (I have heard this MANY times on this site)
Well, you could just NOT HAVE SEX………
Medicaid. Sorry.
You are missing the point.

I’d rather pay for birth control than abortions.
Perhaps we should raise college tuition as well to cover the birth control, since the colleges are promoting such behavior.

Yeah, we don’t want anymore retards running around like you, ranting and raving!!!
Well first.. Medicare shouldn’t be paying for birth control as Medicare it’s for old, retired people..
I think you mean Medicaid.. I personally agree with you that these people shouldn’t be having sex at all but unfortunately, the Liberals have convinced them that it’s okay to do that. They’ve also convinced them at that birth control is 100% effective and if it fails (or you just forget), get an abortion. I am not opposed to Medicaid paying for birth control… but I don’t think they should EVER pay for abortions.
Why should I have to pay for cholesterol medicine for someone who has eaten fatty foods for years? Or for someone who has lung cancer because they’ve smoked for years? Compared to those costs, the cost of birth control is insignificant.
I think the government views this simply from a financial perspective.
It is less expensive to pay for birth control, than to pay for unwanted pregnancies.
The government isn’t concerned with society’s ethics. That is up to the individual.
It’s better than medicare paying for a pregnancy and birth! Look at it this way, they are paying for preventive care. They are going to have sex anyway, might as well be safe!
I do agree with your last line , it couldn’t be more simple , but we can’t stop the loose liberal women out there so I would support paying for birth control , either that or pay more into the broken welfare program , the days of a moral america is long gone and we have to either adjust or deport all liberals
I would rather it pay for birth control than f-ing abortions for those f-ing sluts.
This isn’t a bad thing.
just not have sex is cool, but at least if it is paying for birth control we hopefully won’t have to be paying welfare to those who don’t get pregnant because Medicare paid for the birth control.
be cool…
