This is a wonderful video that gives a small glimpse off what it is like to be a child and diabetic. My daughter is 11years old and was diagnosed with typee 1 diabetes in 2006 when she was just 6 years old. This has been most difficult battle we have ever had to deal with. She has been feeling down lately and saying she doesn’t want to be diabetic anymore. I tell her, as I’m sure all mothers feel, if I could take her disease upon myself I would. You seem very strong and I pray for a cure.
I don’t know why you did this but I have to say that you’re very inspirational to me and probably many others as you face this challenge. Blessing upon you and your family.

Type 1 since age of 4 now 51. Keep up the good work. Keeping active is a big key. I was an avid bike rider thousands of miles. Medtronic insulin pump is a great addition to my life. Magnesium breaks down calcium blocks. Check magnesium levels as you age.
type one is insulin deficient, and type 2 is insulin resistant, but both result in high blood glucose if untreated. Type 2 is caused by malformed insulin receptors in tissue that do not receive insulin signals very well, often compounded by natural insulin resistance, which is caused by several biological factors, to include obesity.
type 1 is autoimmune, and is often the result of your immune system destroying insulin producing cells in the pancreas at a rate higher than they can regenerate.
@0unconscious0 type 1 you have to take shots and you have to take your blood sugar alot and type 2 is when you take pills but not as often as shots and type 1 is mainly for kids and type 2 is for adults
hi my name is caitlyn and i have been a type 1 diabetic for 5yrs now and i know how hard the struggle can be you have to be aware of how ur feeling and checking your blood sugar daily the thing that helped me was i have a family that will back me up all the way and i also went to a diabetic camp this summer and it really helped me…..the thing i always think of is that diabetes isnt a illness its a challenge that you learn to overcome…good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is a good video because it’s true! i have type one too. I’ve had it since i was 3 and i’m now 13. It is a struggle and every milestone we pass is a BIG accomplishment. I used to have insulin injections, but now i have the animas one touch insulin pump. *We are survivors*
@0unconscious0 type 2 is like when you have too much sugar and not eating what you should be, and type 1, what I have, is your genes. It’s not from not eating the right foods, its an auto-amune disorder. Type 2 is mostly in overweight people

@princeali200 i must tell you, your DEFINATLY not alone, i found i had diabetes the hard way, i was in a coma for 2 days. when i went to a camp for people with diabetes, it completely changed my point of veiw. i might work for you.

but may i say that this is not a disease it’s more of a condition and look after your selves other wise you will have lifelong damage… I was 11 when i was diagnosed Im only 13 now And to be honest I’m more strong, determed and Have lots of confidence… never let diabetes over rule YOU… It’s Your Life, Live It Well!

wow this made me almost cry! im 15 and i have been diabetic since i was 10. its crazy that there are so many of us, and all the complications that can happen later in life, like kidney problems. thats very suckishh. but they will find a cure

Hey, type 1 here. Diagnosed two weeks before i turned four, now nearly 18. It drives me crazy knowing that every year i get older thats one more year diabetes has been with me, but I just wanted to say to all diabetics watching this, don’t give up hope. Diabetes can be cured. The only way diabetes can win is if we believe we can’t stop it. I’ve had it 14 long years and I still havent given up hope that one day I’ll be able to eat and dance and live freely without it over my head. <3

Diabetes came to me sept. 6 1998 I am 14 now I was 3 then and birthday is sept 10. I am here to tell you that diabetis doesn’t have to rule your life it has made me a better more responisible persons and if u take care of it your no different than anyone else.
